Report: Vince Young being sued for allegedly assaulting a woman in 2014

The alleged incident happened in a vehicle after a 2014 NCAA Tournament game.

Former Texas Longhorns quarterback Vince Young, who has been out of the NFL since 2011, is potentially looking at more legal trouble that's heading his way. According to TMZ Sports, a woman is is suing him for allegedly pulling her hair when they were sharing the same vehicle after an NCAA Tournament game in 2014. The legal documents obtained by TMZ Sports describes Young as being "extremely intoxicated."

The woman Cayo claims to have medical expenses from the alleged incident, as well as lost wages. She is suing for $250,000.

Young's attorney's have issued a response via Horns Digest, and say that the woman, Tiffany Cayo, made a private allegation of the incident a year ago. Young's attorneys interviewed witnesses and determined there was no merit to allegation.

"Mr. Young's counsel presented the results of the investigation to Ms. Cayo's counsel in early 2015," Young's attorney said in a statement via Horns Digest. "Now, two years after this alleged incident and over a year after being informed that there was clear and unequivocal witness testimony contradicting Ms. Cayo's allegations, Ms. Cayo and her counsel have brought this frivolous lawsuit in a clear attempt to extract money from Mr. Young."

Young's attorney says the quarterback will file a defamation lawsuit against Cayo and adds, "Ms. Cayo's claims will be roundly disproved and Mr. Young will be vindicated in all respects."
