Division-III defensive lineman Bradley Grinnen was found dead in his dorm room on Sunday under mysterious circumstances. The cause of death has not been determined, but foul play is not suspected in this case for the Waynesburg University standout.
The 21-year old was the team's best defender last season with a team-best eight sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss. He was also fourth on the team with 48 total tackles. The Ellwood City (Pennsylvania) native was loved by many of his fellow students according to Rev. Jim Tinnemeyer who is the university chaplain.
"He was loved by many here," Tinnemeyer stated to the Observer-Reporter. "He will be greatly missed."
A private vigil was held on Sunday and now the Waynesburg police are handling the investigation into what exactly happened on that night Grinnen was pronounced dead.
