Looks like one team just inherited a big receiving target for the future.
On Friday, four-star tight end Austin Stogner (6-foot-6, 230 pounds, Plano, TX) announced just days after a visit to Norman that he was committing to Oklahoma.
"I would like to officially announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Oklahoma!" Stogner said in a very graceful statement on Twitter. Stogner was fielding over 25 offers already as a class of 2019 recruit, including offers from Alabama, Florida State, and Ohio State, among others.
Stogner is rated as a four-star and as the No. 3 overall tight end of the 2019 class by the 247Sports player rankings. He also ranks as one of the Top 100 players overall for that class.
Stogner is Oklahoma's first commitment for the 2019 recruiting class. The Sooners have 11 commitments as part of their 2018 class as of now.
