Just a couple of days after a report that he would be forced to push back his decision date, five-star offensive guard Jamaree Salyer (6-foot-4, 342 pounds, Atlanta, Ga.) has responded by announcing that he will be committing and signing a Letter of Intent on Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Salyer is expected to make his announcement at 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Salyer is ranked as the No. 1 offensive guard of the 2018 class, as well as the No. 10 overall recruit. As of press time, Georgia is the massive favorite to land Salyer, with Clemson trailing behind the Bulldogs. Ohio State and Notre Dame are considered long shot contenders at this point.
If Salyer does commit to Georgia, he will become the latest member in what has been an incredible class so far for the Bulldogs. No. 2 and No. 6 overall recruits Justin Fields and Zamir White are already pledged to Georgia, and Salyer could become the team's third Top 10 recruit if he decides to join them.
On the flip side: if Salyer does go with the upset and picks Clemson, he will become the third Top 10 recruit to join Clemson's 2018 class; the Tigers already have the No. 1 and No. 3 overall players with Trevor Lawrence and Xavier Thomas.
