Kyler McMichael is a consensus top-100 prospect in the Class of 2018 and, in conjunction with that lofty perch, there has been plenty of interest surrounding his college decision. On Friday, though, McMichael put an end to speculation about where he will continue his football and academic career by announcing that he is headed to Clemson to play for Dabo Swinney and company.

The 6'0, 196-pound cornerback from Greater Atlanta Christian School in suburban Atlanta ranks as the No. 80 overall player by the 247Sports composite and that places him as the No. 10 cornerback in the country. After announcing his commitment, McMichael spoke to 247Sports about the decision to go with Clemson over his other suitors.
"Just playing under coach (Dabo) Swinney will be great, he is very sincere and the rest of his staff is as well. I was able to get up there and talk with coach (Brent) Venables and coach (Mike) Reed, and they hung out with me all day long.
"That really impressed me and my parents."
With McMichael in the fold, Clemson adds to an already impressive class for 2018 and, at the moment, the Tigers rank at No. 6 overall in the 247Sports team rankings. It will be very interesting to see what the reaction is to McMichael's pledge, especially since he chose Clemson over Alabama and in-state power Georgia.
