Report: Charlie Strong has agreed to his next coaching gig

Strong gets another chance.

Charlie Strong will be the next University of South Florida head coach, per ESPN:

Strong, who was fired from Texas after a miserable 16-21 record, will take over for Willie Taggart at USF. Taggart left for the Oregon job just a week or so ago, and it was rumored for a bit that Strong would join Taggart as defensive coordinator in Eugene, Oregon.

That doesn't appear to be the case, as he'll return to his roots, where he started as an assistant and helped Florida to two national championships in 2006 and 2008.

Before his tenure at Texas, Strong put together a 37-15 record at Louisville, including 23 wins and three losses in his last two years.
