Report: Florida freshman CB suffers torn ACL in practice

This is the second defensive back to get injured this week for the Gators.

Florida football has suffered yet another injury during fall camp on the defensive side of the ball. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Zach Abolverdi reported on Thursday that true freshman cornerback C.J. McWilliams has suffered a torn ACL in practice this week.

The AJC spoke with McWilliams' high school coach Tim Neal of Gainesville High School. McWilliams was a three-star defensive back recruit, who would have likely contributed on defense in a depth role in the defensive backfield.

Florida safety Quincy Lenton, also a true freshman, suffered a broken foot this week in practice as well.

We will continue to keep you updated on the team's injury status throughout fall camp.
