Report: This SEC school is close to flipping four-star RB Adarius Lemons

The running back verbally committed to North Carolina in March.

A big-time running back could be on the verge of flipping, according to a recent report. Blake Alderman of Rivals.com reports that four-star running back Adarius Lemons (6-foot-0, 195 pounds, Clearwater, Fla.) could be on the verge of flipping to Florida. Lemons is currently committed to North Carolina, but could be close to flipping to Florida following his attendance at Florida's Friday Night Lights camp over the weekend. Lemons told Alderman that Florida is getting close to becoming his new top school.

"Pushing number one spot," said Lemmons when Alderman asked about Florida's standing. "Things change and I feel bad personally, but at the end of the day I am trying to find what is best for me and my family. My family can see me play in college because they don't like traveling or flying. It's nice how close UF is and my grandma loves it, she's been here one time. She absolutely loves it, and said it's my decision but she wants me here."

Lemons committed to UNC in March, but this recent report shows he could be close to committing to a school closer to his hometown of Clearwater, Fla. A couple of Florida commits — defensive end Zachary Carter and defensive tackle Jordan Scott are trying to get the four-star to flip.

We'll keep you updated on Lemon's status with North Carolina if it changes.
