Report: Ohio State coach hit a bicyclist with his vehicle

Let's hope the student is ok.

Former Rutgers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach, and current Ohio State assistant Greg Schiano was involved in an accident Thursday morning when he reportedly hit a bicyclist, per Buckey Extra.

The accident is still being investigated, and the bicyclist was taken to the hospital with a head injury. The bicyclist, a 26-year-old male student, is in stable condition and is expected to make a recovery, per the report.

"We are very concerned about the young man who was injured," said Chris Davey, assistant vice president for media relations, via the report. "Our concern lies with supporting him in every way we can."

After not coaching last season, Schiano joined Urban Meyer's staff and shares defensive coordinator responsibilities with Luke Fickell.
