Report: One title contending coach is potentially on the hot seat

Contending for championships isn't enough for some coaches to get by. Some schools have certain integrity standards, and it looks like one coach is falling behind.

According to Mac Engel via Paul Finebaum, Baylor coach Art Briles might just be that coach, as the Baylor Bears having another player — Shawn Oakman — being investigated for sexual assault.

Oakman is the third player at Baylor to be accused of sexual assault, and apparently the allegations are starting to wear thin on some of those with power at the school in Waco.

It's just a rumor at this point, but it does start to raise some questions about where the Baylor program is going. The team has blossomed under Briles, turning from one of the worst teams in college football to a legitimate contender. However, some of these off the field issues are leaving a black mark on the Baylor program, and one that some with the school might blame on Briles' inability to control his players.

Don't take too much into this rumor; Briles isn't going to be fired tomorrow. However, that these things are leaking out of Waco is not a good look.
