Report: UConn has already found a new football coach

It appears to be a done deal.

That didn't take long.

Just two days after firing head coach Bob Diaco, it looks like the University of Connecticut has already found a new guy. According to Football Scoop, the Huskies will be re-hiring former coach Randy Edsall for a second stint with the school.

ESPN's Brett McMurphy confirmed the report.

Edsall was previously UConn's head coach from 1999-2010, and he flipped a rare BCS appearance with the Huskies into a job at Maryland. However, Edsall was fired after four-plus seasons with Maryland, and Edsall has been looking for another head coaching job ever since. It looks like UConn is ready to give their winningest-coach in program history another chance.
