RGIII In Hot Water After Calling Out Buckeyes NIL Budget
The Buckeyes proved that they were the best team in the country. Despite going down 0-7 early in the game, they won handily by a score of 34-23.
But despite a gutsy win over the Fighting Irish, not everyone is impressed. Former Heisman Award winner, Robert Griffin III, sent a strong message following the Buckeyes win on Monday, seeming to insinuate that Ohio State's win was largely because of how much they spent in NIL during the offseason.
"Moral of the story for College Football. Spend $20 Million on your roster," Griffin tweeted on January 20.

Fans on Twitter did not hold back on the former Baylor standout.
"Robert, these numbers aren't real or accurate. Even the source that listed them said they were essentially guesses," one person said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Damn bruh you woulda thought you went to Notre Damn how much you hating," another user said.
Media Pundit Sends Strong Message on Ohio State's Ryan Day
The Ohio State Buckeyes entered the College Football Playoff as the most battle-tested team. Their final six games of the regular season were against FBS opponents, and three of those schools were ranked in the top 20. That preparation has paid off so far after knocking out Quinn Ewers and the Texans Longhorns, who sat atop of the rankings for most of the season, en route to the National Championship.
As for what a win would mean for Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day, one media pundit believes it could be the ultimate 'redemption' story,
"This is really about a lot of things, but also redemption for Ryan Day. We all know what the narrative was, and it was real. I know a lot of Ohio State fans want to act like it was the media's fault, but they were in bars after the Michigan game blaming Ryan Day and wanting him out if he couldn't turn this thing around, but he did," ESPN's Paul Finebaum said on a recent episode of Get Up!
"He admitted over the weekend that he told the team I screwed up. I'm sorry, we will correct it, and that's exactly what he has done. We talked about Marcus Freeman, Ryan Day winning this thing is very remarkable as well considering where he was just six weeks ago."
