4-star, No. 4 DE Ron Tatum decommits from Texas, immediately commits to hometown program

He is a 6'4", 269-pound strong-side defensive end and ranks as a top-100 player in the 2018 cycle.

Four-star strong-side defensive end Ron Tatum III let down Tom Herman and Texas Monday night as he didn't only decommit from the Longhorns, but also landed at conference rival Oklahoma.

"I just wanna say Thank You to all the Texas coaches and program for offering me a opportunity to play at the college level and fulfill my dream to be a college athlete, I've really been talking with my family and God but finally I've come to a decision that I will be decommitting from the University of Texas and will be committing to the University of Oklahoma."

The Sooners landed the hometown kid, Tatum, who also held offers from Alabama, Georgia, Miami and others.
