While names such as Bo Pelini, Lane Kiffin and Les Miles have been linked to the open Purdue head coaching gig, at least one name is openly denying any interest in the position.
Pittsburgh's Pat Narduzzi has recently been rumored to have interest in the position, and the second-year head coach poured cold water over any consideration of leaving the Panthers on Thursday, per College Football Talk:
"That's funny," Narduzzi said Thursday according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "I'm not going anywhere. I don't know who makes up those rumors.
"We don't need to talk about that, but I can just tell you it ain't happenin'. You can take that to the bank. From now on, I'm not even going to comment on it."
Narduzzi coached eight seasons at Michigan State before taking over at Pittsburgh. In his first season, he put together an 8-5 record, while landing his squad at No. 23 in the country.
He's currently 5-3 and coming off a $5,000 fine from the ACC for criticism of officials following a 39-36 loss to Virginia Tech.
