SB Nation predicts a couple of shockers for their 2016 College Football Playoff

Those are definitely some interesting choices for the Playoff.

Alabama fans, we've got some more bad news for you: there is another publication that isn't on board for a Crimson Tide repeat.

Jason Kirk of SB Nation mocked up a full list of bowl projections for 2016, and the reigning national champions were not in his projected College Football Playoff. Instead, we have LSU, Clemson, TCU, and Michigan, with the set of Tigers reaching the Championship Game.

LSU and Clemson are pretty solid choices, but Kirk does go out on a limb with his selections of Michigan and TCU. Michigan is a decent choice, but there is a lot of faith being shown in the Horned Frogs there.

As for Alabama, they were projected for a New Year's Six Bowl game still; a date with Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl.

Some other surprises in the projections: Houston makes another New Year's Six Bowl, drawing Tennessee in the Cotton Bowl. Another fun one is a TaxSlayer Bowl matchup between Miami and Georgia, where Mark Richt would have a chance to get some sweet revenge over the Bulldogs.
