The SEC congratulated Von Miller on the Super Bowl MVP, and there's a big problem with that

Did the SEC Network really just do this?

Von Miller played one of the best games of his career in Super Bowl 50, doing enough to disrupt Cam Newton and the Panthers offense to get the win and the Super Bowl MVP Trophy.

Well, the SEC decided to congratulate some of their best players, and they included Miller in their touting of the SEC. Included in the tweet are Cam Newton and Derrick Henry, a couple of SEC legends and Heisman winners.

The obvious problem here? Von Miller never played in the SEC.

While Miller did play at Texas A&M, he left the school to enter the 2011 Draft, where he was taken second overall. When his college career ended, the Aggies were still in the Big 12, and they would not make their move to the SEC until the 2012 season.

Come on, SEC. You just can't claim all of Texas A&M's past players now.
