According to OutKick's Clay Travis, Curtis will appear in comedian Nate Bargatze's upcoming movie "The Breadwinner," which is scheduled to be released later this month.
And yes, somehow this is tied to NIL.
Per the report, Curtis' appearance is part of his NIL agreement with Vanderbilt. He'll reportedly play a customer shopping for a car while wearing Vanderbilt baseball gear in the film.
Vanderbilt sports fan @natebargatze put five star quarterback Jared Curtis in his new movie, “The Breadwinner,” as part of Curtis’s Vandy NIL deal. Curtis, in a Vandy baseball cap, is car shopping in the movie. Your move, @McConaughey.

Honestly, this feels very Vanderbilt in 2026.
Curtis arrived in Nashville earlier this year as the highest-rated football recruit in school history after flipping his commitment from Georgia to Vanderbilt in a move that stunned the college football world.
The former Nashville Christian School standout was named Tennessee's Gatorade Player of the Year and instantly became the face of Vanderbilt's future in the post-Diego Pavia era.
Now he's adding "movie cameo" to the résumé before his first college start.
The connection actually makes some sense. Bargatze has long been one of Vanderbilt's most vocal celebrity fans. The Nashville-born comedian even publicly campaigned for Curtis to flip from Georgia during ESPN's College GameDay appearance in Nashville last season.
Whether Bargatze helped sway the decision or not, Curtis stayed home.
Now the quarterback is battling for Vanderbilt's starting job under coach Clark Lea while also landing Hollywood appearances on the side.
Not bad for a freshman who's only been on campus a few months.
