It's been a little bit of a rough go around for Alabama in terms of injuries in the past few weeks. In March, Bama cornerback Bradley Sylve tore his Achilles tendon while he was preparing for Alabama's Pro Day. Then on the offensive line front, guard Richie Petitbon tore his ACL during spring practice just ten days ago.
Unfortunately it looks like there's yet, another valuable weapon on offense that has suffered a serious injury. On Friday, AL.com first reported that redshirt running back Ronnie Clark suffered a torn Achilles tendon while he was participating in practice on Thursday.
"This is the second Achilles injury for Clark since arriving at Alabama, AL.com reports. "The former Calera High School star tore the other Achilles tendon as a freshman in 2014. Clark was working as the No. 3 running back behind Bo Scarbrough and Damien Harris this spring."
This would obviously be tougher to deal with if this happened during fall camp or during the season, but given that Clark was getting valuable reps during spring practice means the depth will be even thinner for the Crimson Tide's A-Day scrimmage on Saturday.
