Will Southern Cal's approach to practice help the Tide?

Tuesday Alabama Athletics announced the University's plans for Alabama's fan day.

The annual fan day will be Sunday, Aug. 7 in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Gates will open at 1:30 pm and there will be open practice from 2:30-4:30 p.m. with no cost for admission. Autographs will be signed on the field following practice starting at 4:45 p.m and last approximately 45 minutes.

Alabama's fan day is an annual tradition for many and it provides the one and only time to view an open Tide practice. Bama's first opponent of the season, Southern California, is adopting a completely different method than the Tide however announcing Tuesday that all of their Summer practices will be open to the public.

It's an interesting decision meant to build excitement from the fans, but one has to wonder how wise it is to let Saban, Kiffin, and company see whatever they want. USC may live to regret it.
