Alabama coach Nick Saban goes overboard with this recruiting tactic

Is Nick Saban for real with this one? What is he thinking?

Nick Saban is always looking for talent and it seems he's found some in eighth-grader Jesus Machado. The University of Alabama offered a verbal scholarship to the class of 2020 linebacker prospect on Wednesday, per Youth1.com's Alan Popadines.

Machado is already 6'0" and 195 pounds as an eighth-grader and obviously has more time to grow and get even bigger. Machado goes to school in Florida and has other offers from Michigan State, West Virginia, North Carolina State and Iowa State, per Popadines.

I guess Saban and the Crimson Tide aren't the only ones who might be losing it either considering the bevy of offers Machado already has from those other schools. I suppose it gives the staff some time to look at this kid more closely and gives Machado the chance to take some visits before he has to make his decision in 2020.
