The Crimson Tide have done it again!
For the four time in eight years, Alabama has ascended to the top of the college football mountain, as the Tide beat Clemson in the College Football Playoff final by a score of 45-40 to win the title.
The clear MVP of the game was running back Derrick Henry, who carried the ball 36 times for 158 yards and three touchdowns in the win. Clemson had some success stopping Henry at points throughout the game, but in the end, the Heisman winner proved to be too much. Alabama also got a huge unexpected effort out of O.J. Howard, who found himself open several times, racking up 208 receiving yards.
Props to Deshaun Watson in a losing effort; the Clemson quarterback threw for 405 yards and four touchdowns on the game. He also rushed for 73 yards.
However, tonight is about Alabama, as Tuscaloosa gets to celebrate another national championship!
