After Lane Kiffin's abrupt departure from Alabama after the Tide's 24-7 win over Washington in the Peach Bowl, rumors began circulating that the Alabama offensive players wanted Kiffin gone.

However, during media day on Saturday, Alabama offensive tackle Cam Robinson denied those rumors.
Alabama struggled offensively against Washington, and there was definitely something negative going on behind the scenes with Kiffin and Nick Saban.
"We appreciate all that Lane has done for our football program over the last three years," Saban said. "We sat down following the Washington game and talked about the time demands of managing both jobs, and we recognized that it is best for our players, and for Lane, that we allow him to turn his full attention to his new head coaching role at FAU."
Saban then promoted offensive analyst Steve Sarkisian to offensive coordinator, and Sark's first game calling plays for the Tide will be during the championship game.
