According to 247Sports' Ryan Bartow, Alabama will be losing rising sophomore Shawn Burgess-Becker to transfer. He has been granted a full release and will have three years of eligibility remaining after he sits out a season per NCAA transfer rules.

Burgess-Becker recorded three tackles and played mostly on special teams last season. He was ranked as the nation's No. 10 athlete in the class of 2015. Burgess-Becker probably saw that he wouldn't get much playing time considering the talent returning to the team in 2016.
That group is made up of senior Eddie Jackson, sophomore Ronnie Harrison, sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick and redshirt sophomore Marlon Humphrey. The quartet combined for 13 interceptions last season.
