One of the first commitments on the start of the first early signing period is a big one!

Early on Wednesday morning, four-star defensive tackle Christian Barmore (6-foot-5, 290 pounds, Philadelphia, PA) announced that he had committed to Alabama.

I really want to thank my family first for standing by and supporting me with this very important life-changing decision. I also want to thank my Teachers & Coaches who helped motivate, craft and push me to my potential. Without question, I thank my GORETTI BROTHERS who I went to BATTLE with all year. There’s no me without them!! Lastly, I want to really thank all the college coaches throughout the country whom I developed relationships with during this recruiting process. I’m sure as I grow and you advance, we will cross roads again. This decision was difficult because the colleges that recruited me were all GREAT! with this being said, I thank and Praise God that I will be continuing my education at the University of Alabama. #RollTide

Barmore is Alabama’s first commitment of the day, but expect him to be the first of many as hundreds of recruit try to take advantage of the new early signing period. The vast majority of those committing or signing today project to enroll early with the school of their choice.
