Former 5-star Alabama player arrested on Saturday morning

Not a good look for the former five-star.

This is not a good look with just a month to go before the start of the season.

On Saturday morning, Alabama defensive end Da'Shawn Hand was arrested in Tuscaloosa for driving under the influence. According to 247Sports and SEC Country, Hand's bond was set at $1,000.

Hand is a former five-star recruit of the 2014 class, where he ranked as a Top 5 player in the country. However, his career at Alabama has yet to live up to that hype, though he has proven to be a solid contributor so far. Hand, now a senior, was expected to have a bigger role on Alabama's defense this season, and the arrest may prove to be another setback for the former prized-prospect.

In his career at Alabama, Hand has recorded 44 total tackles (12 TFL) and seven sacks.
