Scates is a 6'3", 175-pound recruit out of Ohio.
The No. 23 player at his position has offers from Alabama, Michigan State and others, per 247sports.
Their Crystal Ball projections have Scates 40 percent to Michigan State, 40 percent to Ohio State (a school he currently doesn't have an offer from) and 20 percent to Alabama.
