Alabama head coach Nick Saban wasn't pleased at the Crimson Tide's inability to land a cornerback in the 2017 cycle, and he's already shifted his eyes to an elite prospect — four-star defensive back Jalyn Armour-Davis, per Scout.
"We hit every spot but one," (Saban) said. "We wanted to recruit at least one cornerback, maybe two, and it didn't work out that way."
According to the report, Armour-Davis is already considering a verbal commitment:
Saban's interest is reportedly so high in the 2018 prospect that he spoke with Armour-Davis on signing day, per Scout. Armour-Davis is a two-way player in high school, but projects as a college defensive back.
The 6'0", 165-pound Alabama recruit has offers from other top programs such as USC, Florida, Florida State and Penn State per the report.
