Injury may keep key Tide lineman out of USC matchup

Alabama coach Nick Saban addressed the media Thursday for the final time before the Tide begin preparations for their opening matchup with Southern Cal. As the Tide get set for game week prep, Saban disclosed that the Tide will be getting ready for the possibility that they may have to face USC without talented offensive lineman Alphonse 'Shank' Taylor.

The nature and extent of Taylor's injury is unknown, but it looks to be bad enough that Saban is getting ready for possibly having to play without him. Saban is often very cautious when it comes to injury concerns, so hopefully resting a few days will be enough to get Taylor back and ready for USC.
