Alabama head coach Nick Saban finally got rid of Lane Kiffin after plenty of rumors came up about how the two couldn't stand each other after working together for three years. Kiffin had originally said he would stick around with Bama for the entire postseason despite taking the FAU head coaching job.

The former offensive coordinator even took a veiled shot at Saban and Alabama on Twitter before heading out the door, but appeared on ESPN's "Mike & Mike" to talk about how he might end up in new OC Steve Sarkisian's ear anyway.

The Alabama offense had taken some steps backward the last few games of the season and didn't even look particularly good against Washington really only beating the Huskies 17-7 —- there was one defensive touchdown in the 24-7 final score. So Saban pretty much booted Kiffin so he wouldn't be pulled between two jobs.
