Lane Kiffin might have been the cause of some Bama controversy before his departure

This is just bizarre.

We all know the story that Lane Kiffin was left behind yet again by the team bus after the media day for the Peach Bowl. ESPN's Chris Low reported it, but it seems that the story is not as straight forward as that.

On "The Audible" podcast featuring Stewart Mandel and Bruce Feldman, they talked about how it might have actually been Lane Kiffin who leaked the story. The two get to talking about it around the 27-minute mark:

Here's the quote you need to know from the whole spiel: "Lane missed the bus and apparently told Chris Low that he missed the bus, or texted him."

It's also important to note that nobody else would have known about him missing the bus if he didn't tell anyone and this seems like a pretty attention-grabbing tactic on Kiffin's part. Nick Saban certainly doesn't like that and that might have been the straw that broke the camel's back before he was essentially fired after the Peach Bowl against Washington.
