Frisco, Texas native and monster offensive tackle Rafiti Ghirmai has almost 30 offers to play Division-I football, but none were bigger than one he received a couple weeks ago from Alabama. He was over the moon when he got it and told 247Sports exactly how he reacted.

"I was going crazy. It's Alabama. That's a one-in-a-lifetime offer considering they're number two this year, but overall I think they're number one. Just the fact they looked at me, I felt very honored. I was going crazy."
The list of offers for the 6'5", 290-pound tackle includes Georgia, Florida, LSU, Michigan, Oregon, TCU, Texas and a ton of others. Scout has him ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 20 OT overall in the country for the class of 2018.
Ghirmai is currently predicted to land at in-state Texas, but says that distance isn't a big deal to him. "My school could be 300 miles, or it could be three miles, it doesn't matter," Ghirmai said. "It just has to be a good school with good relationships and good players."
There will be plenty of good players at Alabama should he decide to commit there, but the coaches and current players will have to keep talking to him if they want to make sure there are good relationships in the end. That is usually what does it end in the for recruits.
