Maurice Smith's family isn't going to forgive Nick Saban anytime soon, rips his disrespect

"He has showed me another side that I didn’t think I would see out of him.”

Maurice Smith and his family are understandably upset with Alabama and coach Nick Saban. They made it a living hell for Smith to move to Georgia as a graduate transfer. The transfer was blocked and Saban refused relent despite the fact that the only way Smith would see the Crimson Tide again was in an SEC Championship Game this year.

Even after a meeting with the family and a private sitdown with Maurice's mother, Saban was still being a jerk about the whole process and the only reason he let Smith go was to avoid any more bad publicity and ill will with the SEC offices and other recruits. However, it seems the damage has already been done with Maurice's little brother Ainias.

Ainias is a class of 2019 recruit who plays receiver and cornerback. He's also probably not going to Alabama no matter how hard they might recruit him. He has no love for Saban after the way his brother was treated and he gave some insight into what the Tide did to older brother Maurice.

"I respected coach Saban, but it's hard to have respect for what he's done to my brother and has never apologized for how he was treated," Ainias Smith told Dawg Nation. "He didn't even care if he had food or money to eat during those weeks or if he was working out to stay in shape to possibly return to the team. This entire situation has made me have trust issues with coaches because the way coach Saban talked to us while he was at my house, and it made me think that everything was going to be all good. But now he has showed me another side that I didn't think I would see out of him."

Sounds like the Smiths won't be talking to Saban again for a long time. While Saban insisted that the SEC had his hands tied, the conference didn't intervene in 2015 when Alabama allowed Chris Black to transfer to Missouri. Sounds like some fishy business from Saban certainly went down.
