Nick Saban did his best John Calipari and told a player to go pro early

Usually the coach telling guys to declare for a draft early is Kentucky’s John Calipari. However, it looks like that advice is traveling across the SEC divisions. Alabama offensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson declared for the NFL Draft after his junior year, which is a little uncommon for any lineman as they usually like to stick around for all four years.

Robinson did an interview with SiriusXM NFL and he said that coach Saban actually convinced him to go pro early.

That’s good on coach to act in his player’s best interests. That’s some solid advice considering Robinson is considered a first rounder by most people.
