Nick Saban's state trooper makes the save, lays out Ole Miss student

When fans rush the field, it's generally an incredible celebration. That was the case when Ole Miss students jumped the rails and stormed the field Saturday after the Rebels' now-historic win over Alabama, 23-17.

Only for the poor student in the video above, his glee brought him on a direct path toward Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban.

As the joyful fan bolted toward Saban, a state trooper made the save, sending a chop straight to the throat and ruining his day.

"An Alabama spokesman said the unidentified student didn't appear to be attempting an attack on Saban, his celebratory bliss simply carried him into the path of the exit plan."
