Nick Saban's Wife and Daughter React to Alabama Making College Football Playoff

The No. 4 seed in the College Football Playoff for the 2023 season has been mired in controversy since the Alabama Crimson Tide were selected ahead of the Florida State Seminoles, and the anticipation spilled over to the Saban's as Miss Terry, head coach Nick Saban's wife, and his daughter Kristen reacted live to the Tide being chosen as the final team.

In a video posted on Instagram, three individuals, including Krsite and Miss Terry, are locking hands as Rece Davis of ESPN builds anticipation for the announcement of the No. 4 seed.

The video was posted on Kristen's Instagram account with a caption that reads, "'CAUSE WE GOT SOMETHING TO PROVE!"

Since the inception of the College Football Playoff, the SEC has never not been represented. With the Crimson Tide defeating the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship game, it became a real possibility with Florida State, down their starting quarterback in Jordan Travis, ending their season undefeated, winning the ACC Championship game. This year marked the first time a team that was the No. 1 seed heading into the conference championship games left those games and completely missed the playoff. However, with Alabama beating them and Texas beating Alabama earlier in the year, both were worthy of a spot.

In the first round as the No. 1 seed, the Crimson Tide will take on the Michigan Wolverines, who are the No. 1 seed. They allow less than 10 points per game to their opponents.

In the SEC Championship game, the Crimson Tide won 27-24. Quarterback Jalen Milroe passed for 192 yards and two scores. The Bulldogs scored with 2:52 to go in the game to make it a 27-24 game but were unable to rally back.

The Wolverines and Crimson Tide will face off in the Rose Bowl on January 1 at 5 PM ET.
