No selfie for you: Alabama banning this item from Bryant-Denny Stadium

A lot of things are often banned from sports stadiums. Firearms, video equipment, food, etc. But now the Alabama Crimson Tide are addressing a new item.

A lot of things are often banned from sports stadiums. Firearms, video equipment, food, etc. But now the Alabama Crimson Tide are addressing a new item that has become popular recently: the selfie stick.

According to a press release on their website, Alabama will not allow patrons to bring selfie sticks into the stadium.

This makes sense; a selfie stick is just a giant plastic stick, after all. We could probably all imagine how that could go badly in a stadium of 100,000 rowdy and potentially intoxicated football fans, so good on Alabama for staying ahead of the curve.

So sorry to Alabama fans and students; if you really have to take a selfie with that many people in it, you are just going to have to get someone to take the picture for you.
