Alabama grad and ESPN personality Rece Davis is convinced that this is in fact the greatest era in Tide football.
"I don't know if I've ever seen this era of dominance that Alabama has had," Davis said. "I've said this a lot of times — I know with some of the older guard Alabama, it's not particularly popular — but this is the greatest era of Alabama football ever."
It can be hard to judge eras against one another even if it's a popular exercise, but with every game won and every title contended for, Nick Saban is making it harder to say that this is the greatest era in Alabama football.
