Lane Kiffin has been the hottest name on the market since Tom Herman was nabbed up by Texas, and reports from SB Nation indicate the Alabama offensive coordinator will interview for the Houston job after the SEC Championship game.
According to the report, Alabama head coach Nick Saban is "actively promoting" Kiffin to Houston in an attempt to block his exit to LSU.

Saban has former USC head coach Steve Sarkisian waiting in the wings at Alabama, but Kiffin bolting to LSU could provide serious issues for the Tide's run atop the SEC.
Kiffin is a friend of head coach Ed Orgeron and rumors have circulated that bringing the Alabama offensive mind to Baton Rouge was part of his deal to have the interim tag removed.
Kiffin was formerly the head coach for the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Volunteers and USC Trojans before jumping aboard Saban's Crimson Tide as an assistant.
His offense would translate as smoothly as any to Houston, as he took bits of Herman's scheme to Tuscaloosa. He'd also breathe a bit of fresh air into a relatively stagnant LSU offense.
