Alabama might have survived an upset bid from Mississippi State on Saturday night, but they didn't come out unscathed. After losing key defenders last week, the Crimson Tide have now reportedly lost their starting left guard in Ross Pierschbacher according to ESPN reporter Alex Scarbrough.

Alabama LG Ross Pierschbacher is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with a high-ankle sprain, a source said. There’s hope he’ll be able to make it back for Auburn. https://t.co/S6gNKGkg27

The injury is being reported as a high ankle sprain, which is never good. Those are trickier than the lower ankle sprains and if Pierschbacher is unable to get back by Auburn, then the SEC Championship Game is a realistic shot to get him back assuming the Crimson Tide doesn't lose to Auburn in a couple of weeks.
