So pretty much everyone watching Alabama play Ole Miss had the same head scratching moment, when the camera caught injured Alabama wide receiver ArDarius Stewart on the sideline, with an axe.
It turns out that not even Stewart's teammates nor Nick Saban had a clue.
"You know, I was going to ask him that," Saban said. "I've never seen the axe before. I don't know much about it."
Alabama running back Damien Harris wasn't sure about it either.
"We've seen it around the locker room," Harris said, "but you have to ask him about that."
Stewart explained the axe on twitter after the game,
Stewart nicknamed the Alabama receiver corp "The Assassins" during the preseason and it looks like that nickname comes with an axe. You have to wonder if it is a good idea to have players wandering the sidelines with axe, but we'll let Saban decide that.
