The Draft's hardest hitter gets serious diagnosis and could fall on draft boards because of it

This really shouldn't scare any teams.

Former Alabama linebacker Reggie Ragland is one of the hardest hitters in this NFL Draft, but it seems he might be hit hard with some medical news. It's apparently nothing that will derail a potential career, but he will need to monitor it closely.

Ragland was flagged for an enlarged aorta and it is not expected to keep him from pursuing an NFL career according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.

Ragland is still expected to be taken in the first round even with the stock drop some teams are talking about. Ragland was a two-year starter for a dominant Crimson Tide defense and is still considered the best pure inside linebacker in this draft. The hard hitter had 102 tackles this past season to go with 6.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
