Four-star athlete Vernon Jackson had been committed to Alabama since September of 2017, but suddenly decommitted on Tuesday before flipping to Texas A&M over the next 24 hours for National Signing Day.
The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Texas native plays both outside linebacker and strong side defensive end for Boling High School. He’s ranked as the No. 21 athlete and No. 48 recruit in the state according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
He also had offers from TCU, Texas, Baylor, Florida, LSU and Oklahoma among others.
