Well, that got broken during Saturday's game against No. 3 Florida State.
In the middle of the third quarter against the Seminoles, Alabama's bench was called for a second delay of game infraction, which triggers a five-yard penalty. Head coach Nick Saban was less than thrilled about the penalty.
Alabama had been called for their first infraction in the first half, which only amounts to a warning the first time around. However, ESPN's announcers pointed out that these bench infractions are being more emphasized this year in order to keep coaches and non-in-game players off the field, and it looks like the Crimson Tide were one of the first to fall victim to the actual penalty this year.
