The rumors began flying when it was announced that former Eagles head coach Chip Kelly met with Alabama's coaching staff earlier this week. During Alabama media day leading up to the College Football Playoff championship game on Monday night, Bama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin addressed why Kelly visited with the staff.
So, it appears, at least at this point, that Kelly's next landing spot may not be Tuscaloosa. Kelly was fired from Philadelphia on Tuesday of last week after just four seasons.
