This kid has future play-maker written all over him.

One of the best defensive play-makers available in 2017 recruiting class is officially off the board. On Thursday, four-star safety Montaric Brown (6-foot-0, 182 pounds, Ashdown, AR) skipped on the offers from Alabama and LSU, as he decided to stay in-state by committing to Arkansas.

Brown also had offers from Auburn, Baylor, and Oklahoma, among others.

A quick look at Brown's highlight reel shows you that this safety is not afraid of making a big play. He's got a fantastic burst of speed, he is able to read opposing offenses well, and he is more than willing to lay a big hit on his opponents. He should do well at the next level.

Arkansas now has 19 commitments for their 2017 class. Brown is their highest-rated commit, according to 247Sports.
