Character was nudged to leave the school for an alleged incident between him and a teammate —- the teammate is apparently still on the squad —- back in May. He will have to sit out a year due to NCAA transfer rules, but will be able to use his redshirt as well so he will be a third-year sophomore for the 2018 season when he is eligible.
