For the time being, Auburn's quarterback race has cleared up. According to multiple reports, Jeremy Johnson is taking first-string snaps during Auburn's spring practices.

Johnson had a myriad of problems at the start of the 2015 season, but he started to get into a bit of a groove late in the season after Sean White went down with an injury. This news appears to be a shift from what Gus Malzahn said a week ago, which was that all three quarterback would be getting equal snaps.
It is difficult to evaluate whether or not this is a good sign for Auburn. If Johnson has been able to distinguish himself from White and third-stringer James Franklin III, then it could be a positive. However, if the quarterback position is still the jumbled it mess it was for parts of last season, and Johnson is getting first-string snaps as the incumbent start, then that is bad news.
