Auburn's over/under win total in Vegas is weirdly low

Bovada's team props are out for the 2015 college football season and one thing stuck out: Auburn's win total is lower than it should be.

But don't freak out, Auburn fans. There are some encouraging things to take from this.

The Tigers opened at 8.5, but the betting lines on over (-175) and under (+135) are indicative of one thing: Everyone knows the line is low and they are betting the over because they believe it's a sure bet that Auburn will win at least nine games. If the money continues to flow that way, expect the line to be moved to 9 or 9.5.

Auburn is expected to contend for the SEC championship, meaning they will need at least nine or 10 wins in the regular season to get there. The Tigers were 8-4 in the regular season in 2014, but Auburn has what would appear to be a more favorable schedule this season, getting Alabama, Georgia, and Ole Miss at home.

If Auburn hopes to win the SEC West, then it will have to take advantage of those home matchups. If it doesn't, tough road contests at LSU and at Texas A&M could be padding a rather higher loss column than the Tigers faithful are comfortable with.
