ESPN announcer doesn't know what division Auburn is in

Not the best mistake to make here...

There's been a lot of talk that Auburn should switch sides in the SEC, going from the West division to the East division to help balance out the two.

However, the Tigers haven't actually made that switch yet, perhaps unbeknownst to ESPN's Anthony Becht. During Auburn's game against Texas A&M, the AFLAC trivia question asked for which SEC East team was the last team to win the SEC Championship.

Becht earnestly guessed Auburn's team with Cam Newton.

The answer was the 2008 Florida Gators with Tim Tebow. As you can imagine, Becht took some flak for his answer.

Becht did say afterwards that ESPN doesn't feed them the answers to these questions, and he wasn't afraid to be wrong. Still not sure if he realized he was wrong because Auburn is — and has been — in the SEC West the entire time.

Perhaps just an honest mistake here; we all make them. But considering that this involved the team and conference he was covering at that exact moment, not exactly the best mistake to make on a nationally televised game.

He probably doesn't need to be fired, though, Clay Travis. That's a little over-the-top.
