Paul Finebaum certainly doesn't see any risk in betting on the Auburn Tigers.
While speaking Thursday, the SEC-centric host dropped a little nugget, noting he could see a two-loss Auburn team making the College Football Playoffs over Washington.
Leinart then ReTweeted this message:
Auburn would have to run the table, meaning a win over Alabama in the Iron Bowl and an SEC Championship could punch the Tigers' ticket.
It's a pretty clear-cut path that we've discussed here before, but then what happens to Alabama? It would difficult to put an undefeated Washington team, two-loss Ohio State, two-loss Wisconsin or even a one-loss Louisville over the Tide.
Alabama has dominated this season as the clear-cut team to beat. Their strength of schedule is clearly ahead of Wisconsin (No. 3), Ohio State (No. 5), Louisville (No. 11) and Washington (No. 37).
If Michigan and Clemson win out, that only leaves two spots in the final four. Things could get wild if Alabama loses, Ohio State beats Michigan and somehow Wisconsin wins the Big 10. But we'll get there when we get there.
